Rethinking Waste for a Sustainable Future
Most people forget about their trash once it’s thrown away. They believe the material is taken to a landfill, where it’s buried and forgotten. In many communities that might be true. But in Lancaster and Dauphin Counties, LCSWMA views waste as a resource to make great things happen. We make waste work for the people we serve.
Use of our Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) facility is free for Lancaster County Residents
Dauphin County residents should contact the Dauphin County Recycling Center.
Businesses and haulers can reference our market list for disposal locations.
Plan Your Drop-Off
For waste that cannot be placed curbside, LCSWMA offers drop-off disposal at our facilities for a fee. If you haven’t been to our facilities before, don’t worry! We’ve shared what you’ll need to know before you visit.
