Plan Your Drop-off

A lcswma worker in a yellow safety vest and helmet stands facing a white dump truck on a worksite, where Residential Disposal Rates influence the project's efficiency, with trees and power lines seen in the background.

Tarp Open Loads

Open loads must be tarped. Large items such as chairs or appliances must be secured. Single large items do not require a tarp unless their condition could pose a safety or litter issue.

A man in a yellow safety vest and red cap sits at a desk by a window in lcswma office filled with monitors, computers, and technical equipment, attentively monitoring residential disposal rates as he looks outside.

Watch Your Weight

Any vehicle or trailer that could be perceived to exceed Registered Gross Vehicle Weights (Vehicle: 17,000lbs. and/or Trailer: 10,000lbs.) must provide vehicle or trailer registrations to Weighmasters to ensure compliance with PA DEP WTSP Requirements.

A worker wearing a yellow hard hat and reflective vest talks into a walkie-talkie in a large lcswma facility, surrounded by piles of debris and construction waste, likely monitoring Residential Disposal Rates during site operations.

Wear The Right Gear

All visitors, including passengers, must wear close-toed, sturdy shoes and a high-visibility vest or garment while at the tipping area. Customers can purchase a high-visibility vest at the scalehouse for a fee.

lcswma person in a yellow safety jacket pushes a cart with electronic equipment through a warehouse area, surrounded by industrial shelves, large drums, and a parked car—highlighting logistics behind managing residential disposal rates.
